A Long-Term SMART Website Partnership for FreshAir Studios

FreshAir Studios wanted a website that reflected the quality of their work while avoiding many of the challenges associated with traditional open-source website platforms. Originally developed in 2021 while Dan was working at a previous agency, the website was built using SMART, the platform technology that would later become part of CoreTechnics. When CoreTechnics was launched, FreshAir Studios chose to continue working with Dan, moving their hosting, support and ongoing development to CoreTechnics.

Since then, the website has continued to evolve through regular updates, feature enhancements and ongoing support, demonstrating how a well-built business website can continue delivering value for many years without requiring a complete rebuild every few years.

Choosing SMART over traditional website platforms

FreshAir Studios evaluated a number of options before deciding on SMART. One of the biggest attractions was the platform's architecture. Rather than relying on a large open-source ecosystem with numerous third-party plugins and dependencies, SMART offered a more controlled and tailored environment.

The team appreciated the security benefits, flexibility and unique nature of the platform. They wanted a website that would stand apart from conventional solutions while still being easy to manage and update as their business evolved.

When CoreTechnics was established, FreshAir Studios chose to continue their relationship with Dan and the SMART platform. This was not because they needed a replacement website. Over the years, CoreTechnics has provided hosting, support and development services, helping ensure the website remains secure, reliable and up to date. This continuity has allowed FreshAir Studios to focus on their business while knowing their website is being actively maintained.
